Cookley Table Tennis Club has a proud tradition of engaging girls and women in our club. From being the first team (ever) to field an all women’s team in the Kidderminster & District Table Tennis League, to actively encouraging girls’ participation in our junior section, to having coached England Tennis Player Charlotte Bardsley England table tennis player at Cookley as a young player.

…and now with the support and funding of the Sports Partnership Herefordshire & Worcestershire, we are delighted to be able to have the opportunity to engage more girls and woman through a sport we truly love and are passionate about.

Starting February 2019, we will be running table tennis sessions particularly targeting girls and women aged 11+, who are looking to get active. No prior playing experience required.

  • Every Thursday (start date to be confirmed)

  • 6pm – 7pm

  • £1.o0

  • Cookley Village Hall and Sports Club

Reasons to get involved:

  • We think that table tennis is one of the best ways to have fun, socialise and keep fit – all at the same time.

  • Our weekly sessions take place at Cookley Village Hall & Sports Club, which offers plenty of facilities to socialise and relax before and after the session…including access to the youth club loft space for a post session hot chocolate (hot choc whilst the weather is cold anyway)

  • We’ve teamed up with local businesses and initiatives, including ‘Worcs Girls Can’, to give our Thursday members access to range of free money off vouchers, incentives and tickets.

  • Young people aged 12-17 will also have the opportunity to take part in a Table Tennis England Young Leadership Award.
